Moundsville W. Va. - The Marshall County FRN is pleased to announce its new home at 1501 Second Street in Moundsville.  The FRN has relocated its offices to be more visible, accessible, and accommodating to the community.

The FRN moved to the new location Tuesday, December 27.  “It has been a lot of hard work but we are so pleased to be working out of our new offices this week,” said Stacie Dei, executive director for the Marshall County FRN. “I would really like to thank the FRN Board of Directors and staff for all of their support.”

In an effort to help beautify its community, the FRN chose to rescue and remodel an abandoned convenient store in Moundsville.  The FRN purchased the former Convenient Mart at Second Street and Cedar Avenue and worked with Chaz Pozell Contracting for the renovations.

“I've noticed since the slowdown of the New Construction Industry, more and more people are trying to renovate pre-existing structures,” said Chaz Pozell, owner of Chaz Pozell Contracting. “I looked at the 1501 Second Street property with several prospective buyers and was excited to work with Stacie Dei and her team at the FRN. They were always right on task, which is essential in this business.  I feel the project shows the potential of the many other vacant buildings in our Ohio Valley community,” said Pozell.

Those passing by may have noticed the complete new look of the building that took approximately 4 months to finish.  Dei said the new location provides more space for the staff of nine, and is handicap accessible. “Our organization is growing and we needed a new office space to accommodate our needs,” said Dei.

The FRN is a catalyst of change, an organization that understands and is responsive to the needs and opportunities in the community. Working with community groups, the FRN develops innovative projects and brings new resources into the area.  In the last 6 years the FRN has secured and invested over $3 million in the community.  The FRN’s many projects promote education, health, and positive youth development.
