Moving to Action Workshop on June 4

MOUNDSVILLE –Do you feel like you’ve been stuck in your community project? Can’t get enough or the right people at the table? Have your efforts lost focus?

Then get ready to learn the skills and tools of the trade to move people to action, Thursday, June 4, in Moundsville.

The workshop, sponsored by the Marshall County Family Resource Network, is being taught by leadership expert Peter Hille. He has extensive experience in West Virginia and understands the challenges posed in Appalachian states. The workshop will include a morning session of practical leadership tools, followed by an afternoon session of identifying areas in the community that need to be improved and then building a plan. Participants will break out into groups where teams of individuals and local agencies can work on their projects with an expert to guide them.

It will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 4 at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville. The cost is $39 per person and continuing education units (CEUs) have been applied for through the WV Prevention Resource Network.

For more information or to register, please call the FRN at (304) 845-3300 or email marshallcountyfrn@comcast.net.
